Originally from Indiana, I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a BA in Public Relations. Since then, I have gained diverse sales experience in corporate America, working at companies such as Angie’s List, Indeed, HomeAdvisor, and Verizon, as well as hospitality in restaurants like Houlihan’s, Cheeseburger in Paradise, and Cooper’s Hawk. I have often volunteered at various animal organizations, including the Humane Society of Indianapolis, LaPorte County Animal Shelter, Frieds Cat Shelter, and Blue Moon Sanctuary and many more. It hadn’t yet clicked to get into petcare as a career, until 2022.

Growing up, every home in my family was filled with pets – dogs, birds, or cats. Despite being an only child, my beloved collie/sheltie, Olivia, was like a sister to me. I’ve also shared my home with a bunny, cockatiels, parakeets, fish, and turtles. My love for animals was so profound that at one point, I was restricted from going outside alone because I kept bringing various animals home, including frogs, squirrels, raccoons, turtles, dogs, cats, birds, lightning bugs, butterflies, and even a wild turkey!

In addition to my passion for animals, I enjoy playing chess, scrapbooking, performing stand-up comedy (yes, it’s true!), rollerblading, bike riding, and being in or around water. Beach is life! I’m also a huge Hello Kitty fan and dream of visiting Japan to experience everything Hello Kitty.

Since moving to Round Rock, Texas in November 2018, I’ve built an incredible network of friends who have become like family. After another mass company lay-off, it finally clicked to go into business for myself! After a conversation with a beloved colleague, Lydia Eager, I got my start on Rover then joined the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters where I’ve been growing a ton of business knowledge ever since!
